Hatbox ghost

Hatbox Ghost big figure from Disney's Haunted MansionI finally own a Hatbox Ghost figure! Look at this guy. He's gorgeous! I was on pins and needles waiting for him to be delivered. (These things are notorious for getting damaged during shipping). Fortunately, he reached my home in perfect condition. And he's big too. 2 feet tall and super heavy. He'll definitely get displayed year-round.

That is AWESOME! Where did you get it?

Ebay. He didn't come with the original box (making shipping particularly risky) so I ended up getting a pretty good deal. (This is after over a year of hunting, only to have the previous auctions go for way more than I was willing to spend. There's one on Ebay right now with a $650 starting price!!! Crazy.)

I'm jealous....I want one too! He's a handsome fellow. I have Halloween at my house all year long. They are too cool to put away for once a year viewing!

Fantastic find! I saw the test cast version at a show last summer (Kevin Kidney & Jody Daily had brought it to sell) and was blown away. They said that as soon as they unpacked it, someone marched right up and bought it straight away, because these are so hard to find (and no one who has them wants to part with them! And I don't blame them!). Which is too bad because what my house is lacking is this giant Hat Box Ghost!! *sigh*

That's great. I remember you talking about this guy the day you picked up my haunt stuff. Glad he made it OK + thanks again for the nice post and kind words about my old haunt materials. Certainly could not have gone to a better home and really look forward to seeing your '09 set-up. Looks like Montreal has some Halloween spirit and at least my skeleton and a few pumpkins will greet whatever kids show up. Cheers!
